TSB is our headline sponsor for Carers Week 2025.

With origins that stretch back to the Savings Bank movement, TSB has a strong history of creating social and economic value. It was established with the sole aim of helping hardworking local people and communities thrive – a goal to which we remain firmly committed to this day. We employ 5,000 colleagues to help our 5 million retail banking customers, across Britain, to be more confident with their money.

A key pillar to TSB is its Do What Matters Plan – which aims to deliver societal support and initiatives to customers and colleagues alike. This includes support for carers.

We understand that combining caring responsibilities and work can often be challenging. Providing flexibility and understanding when it’s needed most is important. That’s why in June 2020, we launched our Carer’s Policy with up to 70 hours paid leave on a rolling 12-month basis and continue to be the only bank offering dedicated paid carer leave.

TSB’s Carer Passport scheme helps carers outline how their caring responsibilities can impact them at work, and a tailored support plan is agreed using additional policies such as flexible working or additional time off, along with access to a range of health and wellbeing resources. Offering this means colleagues can take the time they need to manage caring responsibilities, while also continuing in a rewarding and successful career.

There are benefits to TSB as a business too, as colleagues with caring responsibilities are more than likely to stay with TSB for longer. The individual and collective skills and experience of our carers are a huge asset to TSB, so it’s important that colleagues feel valued. We want them to continue to make an effective contribution, but with the flexibility they need as a carer. It’s the right thing to do for both our colleagues and TSB.

We’re supporting Carer’s Week 2025 because want to help to shine a light on the disparities and disadvantages faced by unpaid carers and play our part in creating a fairer society where they have access to the support they deserve.
